Born in NC, I started playing fiddle when I was 24. Living in Surry Co. I visited Tommy Jarrell often. Formed The Red Hots in 1983, danced with Greengrass Cloggers, played keyboard in Donna The Buffalo, formed fiddle band Man Alive, jimmyjohnnyjoe. Went to Newark School of Violin Making. Taught violin making at Surry Community College and currently teach making at Foothills Art Center in Elkin, NC
